How We Design Your Hairline

The consultation with our ISHRS registered surgeons, is one of the first steps in your hair transplant journey. During this appointment, a surgeon discusses your family history of hair loss and any medical history that would be pertinent to your hair transplant surgery.

During this appointment, our surgeon uses a laser to design your hairline in order to prepare your expectations for your hair transplant surgery. There are various things taken into account when drawing on your hairline; your head shape is individual and you will have predefined ideas about the right place for your new hairline.

Designing a hairline is a collaborative approach with the patient and surgeon; it’s about combining where the hairline should be and what looks good artistically. Our surgeon designs your hairline based on the face being divided into thirds, so we use these principles and then combine our experience with the patient’s needs. We use a technique called feathering, which ensures a natural result for your new hairline.
