Dr Shah is an MBBS graduate from St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. He has been practising as a doctor within the NHS for the past five years.
His interest in hair loss and restoration developed early in his medical career, leading him to train under DHI at the London Hair Restoration Academy. Since then, he has worked at leading clinics on Harley Street and across the UK, developing his expertise in advanced hair restoration techniques.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Shah founded his own private hair restoration practice, where he provided personalised hair loss and transplant services to clients in Harley Street and Mayfair. He now brings his experience and patient-first approach to his role at HQ Hair Transplants.
Dr Shah specialises in treating both male and female hair loss, with a particular interest in eyebrow restoration surgery. Dr Shah is also competent in Afro / Caribbean hair types. He is fully trained in both FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) techniques, and has performed over 500 procedures to date.
His work has been published in international medical journals, and he has received national recognition for his contributions to surgical practice. Known for his professional, compassionate, and holistic approach, Dr Shah is dedicated to delivering natural, long-lasting results through tailored treatment plans that reflect each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Dr Shah is available for consultations via video call for long distance patients or in person at the Cardiff Clinic.
Dr Shah is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). Registration Number 7554414. Dr Shah is awaiting his ISHRS membership to be approved.

Dr Raman Graduated first in Biomedical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London and then his medical degree at Keele University School of Medicine and has worked in multiple surgical and medical specialities since, including cardiothoracic surgery, general and vascular surgery, acute medicine, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. This broad experience has given him a strong foundation in surgical precision, patient care, and clinical management.

Richard moved to Wales from Torquay at age 17 for University and has stayed ever since.
